Brookhaven has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Lawrence County at home to the tune of 55-26. The victory was familiar territory for Brookhaven who now have five in a row.
Brookhaven had a senior duo take command as Jamarius Malone scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and Jaylen Haliburton scored 13 points along with 5 steals. The match was Haliburton's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kordell Collins was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Crystal Springs has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 2-5 record. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Brookhaven, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Crystal Springs might still be hurting after the 70-47 defeat they got from Brookhaven when the teams last played back in November of 2019. Thankfully for Crystal Springs, La'darius Thrasher (who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
