East Lansing had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Everett Vikings with a sharp 13-2 victory on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Paul Van Dam made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Van Dam was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Everett Millhouse was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Gus Greenwalt was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

East Lansing's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Everett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Lansing will square off against Seaholm/Groves at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Everett, they will face off against Holt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
