Flag Football Recap: Upland Piles Up the Points Against Rancho Cucamonga

Upland entered their tilt with Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed past the Cougars to the tune of 27-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Highlanders/Scots' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Cougars are ranked 179th).

One reason for the win was Upland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Siena Vejariel. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

Upland's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Upland has already played their next game, a 41-13 victory against St. Lucy's on the 22nd. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 31-0 win against Los Osos on the 22nd.
