The Harrison Central Red Rebels had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They skirted past Crescent City Christian 52-50.
Mickey Ducksworth was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Pace, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Harrison Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Crescent City Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Harrison Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Albertville at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th. Albertville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harrison Central in their respective states (Albertville is ranked tenth in Alabama, while Harrison Central is ranked 67th in Mississippi). As for Crescent City Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
