After five games on the road, Northern Cass is heading back home. They will take on the Lisbon Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northern Cass knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Lisbon likes a good challenge.
Last Monday, Northern Cass beat Richland 57-50. Given Northern Cass' advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Richland is ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lisbon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Kindred at home and fell 73-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lisbon has scored all season.
Northern Cass is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Lisbon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Northern Cass barely slipped by Lisbon in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 43-42. Will Northern Cass repeat their success, or does Lisbon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
