Bridges Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was X Butler out in front who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Q Young, who scored 18 points.
Royal Live Oaks Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-4-1. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.7 points per game. As for Bridges Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Royal Live Oaks Academy will challenge Whale Branch at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridges Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Allendale-Fairfax at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Allendale-Fairfax is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
