The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pawling, who took down 163rd ranked Albertus Magnus, 30-28.
Woodlands extended the longest winning streak in Section 1 C/D this week by beating Hastings, 38-19. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Tuckahoe's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Castracucco threw for 109 and two touchdowns and John Paulino had 63 yards receiving. On the ground Nick Reisman chipped in 212 yards. Daryl Taylor helped Tuckahoe's passing attack out by catching two balls for 43 yards.
The Tigers' AARON THOMAS and JUSTIN MAYETTE have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. THOMAS has thrown for 210 yards this season, while MAYETTE has five catches for 200 yards. The Falcons' Nico Denise leads the league in rushing yards with 618.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Albertus Magnus takes on Rye Neck. As it stands, Paul Villanueva's team is in fifth, while the Panthers are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when the Falcons and Rye Neck face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Albertus Magnus comes in having scored 135 this season, while Nick Ianello's team has scored 150. The Falcons scored 28 points last week as they fell to Pawling.
The Tigers were able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Dobbs Ferry 38-14. Tuckahoe came in at 16 in the state poll after placing at number 45 last week.
