The Richland Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-23 loss at the hands of Vienna. Richland has not had much luck with Vienna recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Cash Stricklan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Vienna, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The matchup was Stricklan's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Zimmer, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Vienna, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Vienna will head out on the road to face off against Bourbon on Wednesday. Bourbon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Vienna is ranked 165th).
