The Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials will take on the North Pocono Trojans at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Plymouth Whitemarsh lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Central Bucks East, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Colonials put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 15-2 victory on Wednesday. The Colonials' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Plymouth Whitemarsh got a great performance from Bobby Pasquarello as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, Mason Eagland was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cole Reilly, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Plymouth Whitemarsh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, North Pocono waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Warriors 10-3. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Nick Reese tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jake Reese, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Bassi, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
The win made it two in a row for Plymouth Whitemarsh and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for North Pocono, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
