Denver Academy lost against Union Colony Prep back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday.  Despite the  defeat, Denver Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Riley Allen  on his way to 28  points and six  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Allen has scored all season.  Chris Janssen was another key player,  putting up 13 points and six  boards.
Denver Academy has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record  this season. Union Colony Prep's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-11.
 Looking ahead, Denver Academy will be playing at home against Clear Creek  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Union Colony Prep, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Dawson School  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Union Colony Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
