South Oak Cliff is a perfect 3-0 against Wilson since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
South Oak Cliff's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They blew past Hillcrest, posting a 55-0 win. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jayden Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 160 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Delvin Cook did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Oak Cliff was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
South Oak Cliff's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Tramell Minter: he picked up a sack and made four total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson). They blew past Adamson 41-14 last Friday.
South Oak Cliff better keep an eye on Ernesto Bernard. He was instrumental in Wilson's win, throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Bernard's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Walsh, who picked up 65 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
South Oak Cliff's record is now 5-1. As for Wilson, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything came up roses for South Oak Cliff against Wilson when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 57-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
