Despite the defeat, West Union saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madison Stout dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Stout has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Ashlah Staten was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ferguson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joslyn Rockey, who went 5 for 8 en route to 10 points and six rebounds.
West Union's record now sits at 9-9. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they moved to 7-13 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.
West Union didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-46 victory against Blanchester on the 1st. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Adams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in North Adams' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Lynchburg-Clay has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
