Norcom is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Manor a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Norcom Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Manor Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Norcom has given up an average of 15.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Monday just wasn't the day for Norcom's offense. They lost 21-0 to Lakeland on Monday.
Meanwhile, Manor came into Monday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Heritage with a sharp 15-1 victory on Monday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brennan Christenbury and Micah Fly made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Christenbury struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Fly pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Christenbury got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Fly went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those RBI were Christenbury's first of the season.
In other batting news, Manor got a massive performance out of Jareem Boykins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Boykins has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Manor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Norcom's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Manor, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Norcom might still be hurting after the 14-5 defeat they got from Manor in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Greyhounds have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
