Wilson is 1-9 against Hartsville since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Foxes at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hartsville will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wilson extended their winning streak to three last Friday. The Tigers never let Lower Richland get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Zoey Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one triple the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Wilson got a massive performance out of Sakura Jordan, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Jordan is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Martina Taylor was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1.
Wilson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Hartsville came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Gators.
Allie Bailey looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Hartsville let Carter Shumate and Myah Harvey run wild. Shumate went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs, while Harvey went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jaysha McCullough, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Hartsville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wilson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Wilson hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Hartsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Wilson might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Hartsville in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
