The Norris Titans waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 45-29 win over Elkhorn. Given Norris' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Elkhorn is ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Johnson, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Ize Tidball, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Norris' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Elkhorn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Norris will head out on the road to face off against Seward at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Elkhorn won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Roncalli Catholic at 4:05 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Roncalli Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
