The Clay County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Buffalo Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Clay County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, Clay County ended up a good deal behind Charleston Catholic and lost 42-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clay County has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Buffalo didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Tolsia on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 43-37 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Buffalo.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Buffalo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camryn Samples, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Samples has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Boggess, who scored nine points along with 16 rebounds.
Clay County's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Buffalo, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Clay County came up short against Buffalo in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 54-45. Can Clay County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
