After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Venice, West Port was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Sickles Gryphons as West Port made off with a 12-5 win. Reese Leslie and Rachael McCumber did most of the damage at the plate: Leslie scored two runs while going 5-for-5, while McCumber scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those five hits gave Leslie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Zimmerman, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
