The Arcanum Trojans had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Fort Recovery by a score of 51-44. That's another feather in the cap for Arcanum, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arcanum to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Gibbons, who scored 15 points. Ashlyn Miller was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Arcanum's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fort Recovery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Arcanum will head out on the road to face off against Newton Local at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Recovery, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mississinawa Valley at 7:30 p.m.
