Edison Tech is 1-8 against the Royal Comets since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Edison Tech Inventors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets at 6:15 p.m. Edison Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully the Royal Comets like a good challenge.
Edison Tech pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Monroe 60-56.
Meanwhile, Rush-Henrietta beat the Titans 66-54 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rush-Henrietta.
Rush-Henrietta found their leader in underclassman Avery Council, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Council has scored all season. Jalen Taggart was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds.
Edison Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Rush-Henrietta, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Edison Tech and the Royal Comets were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, but the Inventors came up empty-handed after a 70-69 defeat. Can Edison Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
