Basketball Recap: Spartanburg's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Spartanburg extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kamryn Sainvil. The Spartanburg Vikings snuck past the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets with a 54-50 win on Wednesday thanks in part to Sainvil, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

Another player making a difference was De'Asia Bridges, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.

Despite the loss, T.L. Hanna still got an impressive performance from Tamerah Wynn, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Those 20 points gave Wynn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harmoni Earl, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Spartanburg's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. As for T.L. Hanna, their record now sits at 3-2.

Spartanburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 33-31 win against Indian Land on the 21st. As for T.L. Hanna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Savannah Athletic Association at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Savannah Athletic Association will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something T.L. Hanna surely won't give up without a fight.
