Basketball Recap: Natchez Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Natchez entered their tilt with Jefferson County on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Jefferson County Tigers 57-31. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Natchez to victory, but perhaps none more so than CALEAH KENNEDY, who posted 14 points in addition to seven blocks and five boards. Those seven blocks gave KENNEDY a new career-high. Another player making a difference was PAYGE JACKSON, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Natchez's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Jefferson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Natchez and Greenville will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Natchez has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 173 points over their last three games. As for Jefferson County, they will host Wesson at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
