Malik Holman Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is South Lake's Malik Holman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Holman made nine total tackles. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.
The victory was the third in a row for South Lake, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles challenges Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Trace Kulczar Leads Horizon over Lake Minneola
Horizon was led to victory by Trace Kulczar, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Kulczar wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. The game was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.
With the win, Horizon broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7. Kulczar and Horizon will host Davenport at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Carl Jean-Bart Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Davenport was led to victory by Carl Jean-Bart, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Jean-Bart picked up 225 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.6).
Davenport's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. Jean-Bart will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Horizon on Thursday.
