Heartland III recap September 10, 2013
Muncy scaled the state rankings by moving to 355 from 405 this week, the biggest jump in Heartland III. The Indians climbed the ranks as a result of beating Cowanesque Valley 43-13.
Bloomsburg was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Panthers vanquished Hughesville 35-21 earlier in the week.
Muncy's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anthony Barberio threw for 172 and 3 touchdowns and Maurice Brown had 128 yards receiving. On the ground Junior Ramos contributed 57 yards. Ken Koch helped Muncy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 27 yards.

Ricky Klingerman provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bloomsburg bested the Spartans. He completed 21 passes for 176 yards and also ran for 42 yards. Klingerman's favorite target this week was Colby Klingerman, who caught 10 passes for 71 yards.

Brown was the best receiver in Heartland III this week as the Indians beat Cowanesque Valley.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Mike Kogut's team takes on Warrior Run. As it stands, the Panthers are in fourth, while the Defenders are in fifth.
Southern Columbia Area took down Montgomery 58-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
