Round Valley is 8-2 against Many Farms since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Round Valley Elks will be home for the holidays to greet the Many Farms Lobos at 5:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Round Valley: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Many Farms has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
Last Tuesday, Round Valley came up short against St. Johns and fell 43-35. While losing is never fun, Round Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while St. Johns is ranked 20th).
Brenli Haws put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 15 points. She scored a full 42.9% of Round Valley's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Many Farms earned a 39-28 victory over Red Mesa on Thursday.
Round Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Many Farms, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Round Valley strolled past Many Farms when the teams last played back in November by a score of 47-31. Will Round Valley repeat their success, or does Many Farms have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
