HINTON, Okla. -
Jacob Spady threw three touchdowns and ran for two more as
Hinton (Okla.) defeated
Hobart (Okla.) 54-28 on Saturday.
The Comets were up 20-6 at the half after taking the lead on a Spady touchdown pass to
Dalton Miller in the second quarter.
Hinton saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to six entering the fourth.
A 34-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Comets, as they pushed the final margin of victory to 26.
The victory was a step in the right direction for Hinton, which was coming off a 70-3 defeat at the hands of Frederick in its previous game. The loss comes after Hobart defeated Comanche 35-14 last week. The loss snapped the Bearcats' 3-game winning streak.
Hinton (6-3) will play a 2A District 3 game against Comanche next week, while Hobart (5-4) will take on Frederick also in a 2A District 3 game.
