The South Philadelphia Rams suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 51-25 loss at the hands of Roxborough. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Philadelphia has scored all season.
Roxborough's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sahir Smith, who scored nine points. Sherrod Nelson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
South Philadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Roxborough, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Philadelphia will take on MAST Charter II at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. MAST Charter II will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Roxborough, they will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Benjamin Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Roxborough likes a good challenge.
