The Pana Panthers will take on the Sullivan Redskins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Pana took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Ramsey 25-11. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Brianna Mathis made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off seven hits. Mathis was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Sarver, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Pana always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sullivan waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Greenwave with a sharp 12-1 victory. That looming 12-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Redskins yet this season.
Natalie Stinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Karson Robinson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. J'Nai Webb was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
The win got Pana back to even at 2-2. As for Sullivan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pana hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Sullivan struggles in that department as they've averaged .374. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Pana's way against Sullivan when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Pana made off with a 10-0 win. Will Pana repeat their success, or does Sullivan has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
