The Trinity Wolves will be taking part in a tournament against the Weed Cougars  at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. Trinity is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6  runs per game  this season.
Trinity will bounce into Friday's   match after  beating Ferndale, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Trinity walked away with  a   10-7  win over Ferndale  on Tuesday.
 Brynn Sommerfeld spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 At the plate,  Hallee Prather was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Adriana Seele was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Prather wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Trinity  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. Trinity is  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Weed took on Portola on Friday. Weed lost  16-1 to Portola.
 Weed saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Maddie LaDue, who  went 1-for-2 with one  RBI.
 Weed's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Trinity, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Trinity beat Weed 5-2  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. Will Trinity repeat their success,  or does  Weed has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
