Having struggled with six losses in a row, Alabama Christian Academy turned things around against Marbury on Tuesday. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.
The result came thanks to Madolyn Traywick's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Chloe Childs was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Presbyterian). Everything went their way against Montgomery Academy on Tuesday as they made off with an 18-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Madi Milton was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Harper Johnson, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that she launched this season. Marley Sharpless was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three doubles.
Trinity Presbyterian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Alabama Christian Academy's record now sits at 11-12. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their record is now 7-8.
Everything went Alabama Christian Academy's way against Trinity Presbyterian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Alabama Christian Academy made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
