Taylor entered their tilt with Crooms Academy on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Wildcats have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Peyton Fender spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Alex Ramos was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Taylor's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Moyer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Taylor pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Crooms Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will venture away from home to take on Deltona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crooms Academy, they will head out to face off against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crooms Academy is facing Holy Cross Lutheran Academy at the right time seeing as Holy Cross Lutheran Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
