Eagle's Landing had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Heritage Patriots on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Lhogan Wright paced Eagle's Landing's offense, picking up six kills. Wright got some help from Antonella Rodriguez and her 11 assists. Wright was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Heritage is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Eagle's Landing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Fayette County on the 7th. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to square off against Central Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
