Woodrow Wilson moved up to 257 from 313 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Moore. The Bruins were able to make the jump by beating Compton 55-12.
Woodrow Wilson took down the Tarbabes 55-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jason Bonney threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
John Janzen's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tonny Lindsey chipped in 258 yards. Austin Sandoval helped Woodrow Wilson's passing attack out by catching two balls for 19 yards.
Zimari Manning was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bruins defeated Compton. Manning tallied five receptions for 247 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Kaelon Price of Cabrillo is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1290. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, Woodrow Wilson's Lindsey has rushed for 1229 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Manning. The Woodrow Wilson star has 39 catches for 753 yards.
A big matchup in Moore this week will be when Jordan takes on Lakewood. The Panthers are currently in third, while the Lancers are in first.
There should be lots of points scored when the Bruins and the Jaguars face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Woodrow Wilson comes in having scored 215 this season, while Cabrillo has scored 191. The Bruins scored 55 points last week as they bested the Tarbabes.
