The Ray Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the San Pasqual Valley Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ray will be strutting in after a victory while San Pasqual Valley will be coming in after a loss.
Last Monday, Ray took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 52-17 victory over San Manuel. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ray.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ray to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Morales, who scored 13 points. Jonathan Beede was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, San Pasqual Valley couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountainside on Monday.
Despite the defeat, San Pasqual Valley saw an underclassman step up: Kage Hill scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
Ray's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for San Pasqual Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for Ray against San Pasqual Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2018 as the team secured a 62-24 victory. Will Ray repeat their success, or does San Pasqual Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
