The Stanton Blue Devils will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Stanton extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Santa Fe. They never let the Raiders onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. It was an even better day for Courtney Brown as she scored three goals for her team.
Meanwhile, the matchup between Bishop Kenny and West Florida on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Bishop Kenny was the clear victor by a 8-0 margin over West Florida. Give Bishop Kenny's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
The win (which was Stanton's third in a row) raised their record to 12-5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matches. As for Bishop Kenny, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5-1.
Stanton beat Bishop Kenny 2-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Does Stanton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Kenny turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
