It was a good run, but the Vergennes Commodores unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Williamstown. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Williamstown to victory were Colby Laggner and Evan Bailey. Laggner dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Bailey shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Bailey has scored at least 25% of Williamstown's points. Alex Clark was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Vergennes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Williamstown, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
