Azle is 1-8-1 against Aledo since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Azle Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Aledo Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Azle's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Last Friday, Azle didn't have quite enough to beat Saginaw and fell 2-1. Azle has struggled against Saginaw recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Aledo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Brewer by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Aledo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Brewer is ranked 96th).
Azle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. As for Aledo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3-3.
