The Oakland Patriots lost against the York Institute Dragons back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Oakland was dealt a 54-21 loss at the hands of York Institute. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oakland has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Oakland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyla Joy. Despite the final result, she scored four points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Oakland struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Oakland and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for York Institute, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will take on Coffee County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coffee County Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for York Institute, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cookeville at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Cookeville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than York Institute in Tennessee (Cookeville is ranked second, while York Institute is ranked 33rd).
