The Cosby Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Thomas Dale Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cosby waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clover Hill 73-36 on the road. Cosby pushed the score to 55-33 by the end of the third, a deficit Clover Hill had little chance of recovering from.
Hailey Schaaff went supernova for Cosby, scoring 26 points. It was the first time this season that Schaaff scored 15 or more points. Juliona Mabie was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Thomas Dale was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Matoaca 78-18 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Thomas Dale, who after 18 games remain undefeated this season.
Cosby's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10. As for Thomas Dale, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0.
Cosby was taken down by Thomas Dale 74-41 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Cosby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
