St. Pius X's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Sell, who went 8 of 18 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Sell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline McCoy, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.
Summit Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for St. Pius X, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Summit Christian Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Lutheran at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Pius X, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Smithville at 5:30 p.m.
