Even though the S & S Consolidated Rams scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Colbert Leopards still came out on top. Colbert snuck past S & S Consolidated with a 63-58 victory. Given Colbert's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 36th in Oklahoma, while S & S Consolidated is ranked 973rd in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Orr, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Brayden Turner, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Colbert is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for S & S Consolidated, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Colbert will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bonham at 12:00 p.m. on December 1st. Bonham will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for S & S Consolidated, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Calvary Academy at 1:00 p.m. on December 1st.
