Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bear Grass Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carolina Harrell, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Harrell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Hylee (Al) Jarrett was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Ocracoke's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-26 loss at the hands of Columbia. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Ocracoke has suffered since November 13, 2023.
Bear Grass Charter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Ocracoke, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9.
Everything came up roses for Bear Grass Charter against Ocracoke in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 53-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bear Grass Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
