Hamilton Southeastern secured a 48-44 W over Mt. Vernon on Saturday. This was payback for Hamilton Southeastern, who suffered a 67-55 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Nate Orr, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Donovan Hamilton, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Hamilton Southeastern has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Connersville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Mt. Vernon is ranked 44th).
