St. James Academy extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Eudora, 17-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
St. James Academy was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping the Cardinals. Tom Radke's team came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.
St. James Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunder feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jansen Keyes has thrown for 699 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Alex King has 20 catches for 310 yards. Jake Bade leads the league in rushing with 547 yards.
The Thunder and Eudora played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Thunder eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory. Bade threw for 21 yards, ran for 110 yards and caught one passes for 16 yards in the win.
