The Kirtland Central Broncos''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gallup 54-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Kirtland Central, who have now won three matches by 32 points or more so far this season.
Kirtland Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Joe, who threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Joe was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Demusico Edsitty, who rushed for 76 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.
Kirtland Central's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Gallup, their loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kirtland Central will take on Aztec at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gallup, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomfield will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
