After three games on the road, Langley is heading back home. They will take on the McLean Highlanders at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Langley earned a 48-37 win over the Generals. Given Langley's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Generals are ranked 106th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Langley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bri Borcherding out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Vicky Zawisza, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, McLean strolled past the Statesmen with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 42-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for McLean.
Langley's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for McLean, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
