The Miller County Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the North Florida Christian Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Miller County had to suffer through a rough 80-28 loss at the hands of Mitchell County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Miller County has scored all season.
Meanwhile, North Florida Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grace Christian Academy 78-50 at home. With North Florida Christian ahead 45-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
North Florida Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jace Riggan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Riggan set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyle Wright, who scored 21 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Miller County and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for North Florida Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
