First Colonial took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Cox, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Falcons 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

First Colonial took Cox into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13.

First Colonial's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Cox, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.
