The Western Panthers will challenge the Hanover-Horton Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western will be strutting in after a victory while Hanover-Horton will be coming in after a defeat.
Western's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Hastings. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Saxons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Brody Parrott made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Parrott was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lincoln Levy, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. DJ VanRiper was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Western was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hastings only posted a batting average of .059.
Meanwhile, Hanover-Horton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 12-2 to Columbia Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Comets have suffered since April 19th.
Jack Wooster was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hanover-Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Western, the victory got them back to even at 9-9-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Western has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hanover-Horton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Western was able to grind out a solid win over Hanover-Horton in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 8-5. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
