You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Culver Academies on Friday. They blew past the Marquette Catholic Blazers 64-41. That looming 64-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Marquette Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vaughn Rael-Kludt, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Mays, who had ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Culver Academies and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Marquette Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Culver Academies won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Berrien Springs at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Shamrocks have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Marquette Catholic and Munster will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. on the 29th.
