The Bulkeley Bulldogs lost against the Weaver Beavers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Bulkeley was beaten by Weaver 77-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bulkeley in their matchups with Weaver: they've now lost nine in a row.
Weaver's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nasir Wright , who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Fazal Khan, who scored nine points along with 17 rebounds and four steals.
Bulkeley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Weaver, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bulkeley will square off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Weaver is on the road again on Thursday and play against Achievement First at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Achievement First comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
